Professional engineering experience
I have four years of Quality Engineering experience at Minitab, including lead QE ownership, release validation, production issue investigation, and hands-on development support on product teams.
Quality Engineer to Software Engineer
I'm Gabien Bryan, a Quality Engineer transitioning into Software Engineering. At Minitab, I support product teams with React and TypeScript development work, own a shared Playwright automation framework, and investigate real customer and release issues with the same care I bring to code.
Focus
React, TypeScript, Playwright, CI/CD, API validation, App Insights, KQL, and product work that stays reliable after release.
In Development
Moving intentionally toward Software Engineering through real development tasks, automation ownership, debugging, and personal projects.
Overview
My goal is to step into Software Engineering by showing real product work, automation ownership, technical problem-solving, and the quality approach that shapes how I build.
I have four years of Quality Engineering experience at Minitab, including lead QE ownership, release validation, production issue investigation, and hands-on development support on product teams.
When projects are starting up, I contribute implementation work before testing demand ramps up, including React UI updates, reusable components, backend integration support, and tests for the features I help build.
I designed and maintain a TypeScript Playwright framework used across web products, with Azure DevOps integration, staging/live validation, parallel execution, reporting, and onboarding support for other QEs.
